Mars Prompts August Vacation Planning
I've toyed with the idea of going to Vegas for a long time. Now here comes another reason: this August, the planet Mars is going to be closer and brighter than ever before in human history.
Yeah okay, so what does this have to do with Vegas? Only that the area all around Vegas is a big stupdendous desert, and deserts make prime viewing areas for the night sky. A one hour drive should take me plenty far enough away from the bright lights of the sin city.
At least, I hope so.
